Practitioner providing Bowen Therapy to a client.

Bowen Therapy

A gentle bodywork technique using precise rolling movements and quiet pauses to help the nervous system reset, ease tension, and support the body’s natural balance.

Rather than forcing change, Bowen Therapy® encourages the body to shift out of protective, guarded patterns and into a more relaxed, self-correcting state. It's primarily used to support musculoskeletal injuries, chronic pain, and neuromuscular conditions, working with the body's own healing response rather than against it.

What to Expect

The session consists of gentle, specific movements followed by brief periods where you will rest quietly while your body responds. The treatment is subtle but often produces profound changes in posture, movement, and comfort.

How to Prepare

✓ Wear light, comfortable clothing

✓ Stay hydrated

✓ Avoid scheduling strenuous exercise immediately afterward if possible

✓ Allow yourself time to notice how your body responds over the next several days

What You May Notice Afterward

Many people notice decreased pain, improved flexibility, easier movement, and a greater sense of balance. Some experience temporary soreness or shifting sensations as the body adapts to improved alignment.

What If Less Could Do More?

If your body feels tense, overworked, or stuck in stress, Bowen Therapy® offers a gentle place to begin.
