Just Listen

Updated: Oct 7, 2021

When we listen, we learn.

When we learn, we have the ability to help. When we help, healing happens.

Therefore, listening yields healing.

It just takes one;

One person to lend an ear.

One small gesture to make a big difference and, as little as One magical minute to illuminate another's life.

Really, just one.

I've read somewhere that '"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if one only remembers to turn on the light'. While this is very true, it's not always easy for those in the darkness to do (that is, finding the light by themselves). By flipping just two words, this statement provides a new angle which resonates much more with me but may require a bit more of us:

"Happiness can be found even in the darkest of times if only one remembers to be another's light."

Just like in nature, when we take the time to tune into our surroundings and truly listen, we experience self-healing on some level. Similarly, when we tune into those in need, to solely listen, the light within them (and even within you) will brighten and their darkness will lift.

It often takes just one try for your light to ignite the spirit of another.

It's like magic.

Just listen, then watch the healing.

"Listen. People start to heal the moment they feel heard."
